Kristin, an Oakland-based artist, was born & raised in rural Northeast PA where she adopted a love for history, mythology, and nature. She attended MICA - Maryland Institute College of Art- where she earned her BFA in Painting & Illustration in 2007. Upon graduation, Kristin decided that traveling and social justice work would be the best way for her narratives, artwork, knowledge and human understanding to evolve.
Kristin has spent time working on projects merging social justice with community art. Kristin has also recently completed her MA in Somatic Psychology where she explored the intersection of the felt human experience with creative expression and how it applies to mental health. She has a private practice in both downtown San Francisco and Oakland as an MFT Intern where she sees clients of a diverse background. She practices from a social justice and feminist lens with a primary focus on trauma (ancestral, sexual, societal), energy work, and the body. |
